Bookings

Booking online

Booking online entitles you to a 5% online discount on most tours. Tours can be booked online up to 90 minutes prior to tour departure. When booking a tour online, a confirmation is sent automatically with a booking number by email, stating tour departure and duration.

Booking through telephone

All tours can can be booked through telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week up to 90 minutes prior to tour departure. Our booking service can be reached at +354 540 1313.

Booking by email

Bookings per email (bookings@grayline.is) can be made for all tours. All email bookings are confirmed within 24 hours on working days.

Tours

Complimentary pick-up and drop-off service

We offer a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service for all our day tours at all major hotels in Reykjavík capital area. Passengers wanting to take advantage of the complimentary pick-up service are requested to wait outside their hotel 30 to 60 minutes prior to tour departure (please see individual tour descriptions for more information) in order to board the pick-up bus. Missing the pick-up bus does not entitle to a refund of the price paid for the tour.

Drop off after day tours may sometimes not be right in front of your hotel/guesthouse due to narrow streets and actual coach size used during the tour.

Change of reservation

It is possible to change a reservation up to 2 hours prior to tour departure free of charge.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations of tours must be notified and received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Unless specially stated in terms and conditions, the deadline to receive a refund for tours is 24 hours before tour departure.

All refund requests must be made by the traveller or credit card holder. Refund requests must included the name fot the traveller and Iceland Excursions booking number. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. Should circumstances arise that result in the cancellation of a tour by Iceland Excursions or if a third party co-operation cancels a tour, passengers will be offered another tour date or a different tour.

Cancellations must to sent at least 24 hours prior tour departure to iceland@grayline.is or fax +354 540 1310. Confirmations of cancellations will be sent back within 24 hours during weekdays.

Children's Discount and Safety

Child and youth fares are available on most tours when travelling with a full paying adult. Please see each tour description for further details. Max. 2 children / youths per adult. We offer Children's Safety Car Seats free of charge. Please book in advanced.
 
Tour departure

All day tours booked start from our office at Hafnarstræti 20, 101 Reykjavík (Lækjartorg) at the departure time given on your voucher. It is the passengers responsibility to arrive at our tour office in time to check in for their tour and to board the tour bus at the tour departure time written on their voucher.

Special needs

If you have any special needs or requests you should notify the Iceland Excursions sales department as soon as possible. We always try to fulfill our customers wishes at all times.

It is permitted to have foldable wheelchairs in our coaches without charge. Passengers that are unable to sit in a standard coach seat must advise the company´s office prior to tour departure.

Safety on board

Our fleet at Iceland Excursions – Gray Line Iceland includes coaches of all types and sizes, which are all equipped with safety belts. We have a limited number of Children's Safety Car Seats available.
These can be provided on request, free of charge. The safety and comfort of our customers is one of our main goals.

Iceland Excursions – Gray Line Iceland reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or timetables, change or cancel tour dates should the necessity arise, including irregularities due to adverse weather or road conditions. No responsibility is taken for losses or expenses due to delay or changes of flights, injury, damaged, negligence, weather, war or other unforeseeable causes.

Seats cannot be guaranteed unless booked at least two hours in advance. The estimated duration of tours as indicated on our website are standard times and can vary according to road or weather conditions. Punctuality is a key objective in Iceland Excursions – Gray Line Iceland operation. However, delays may occur for unforeseen reasons.

The company cannot be made responsible for losses that a passenger may face due to delay, regardless whether the loss is direct or indirect.

The estimated duration of tours as indicated are standard times and can change according to road, snow or weather conditions.
